MANAMA: His Majesty King Hamad has expressed pride at the dedicated efforts of Bahrain’s National Guard to safeguard the country.
His Majesty, the Supreme Commander, underlined “its advanced level of training, high preparedness and constant readiness to answer the call of day with capability and success”.
He congratulated the force on its 24th anniversary as he received National Guard Commander Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa at Safriya Palace yesterday.

The National Guard has become a strong force that defends the kingdom’s sovereignty, security, stability and gains, alongside BDF and Public Security, he pointed out.
The King also praised the success of a drill, Al-Badr-5, that National Guard held with the Pakistan Army as part of efforts to exchange expertise and enhance co-operation.
His Majesty deputised Shaikh Mohammed to attend the drill’s concluding ceremony on his behalf.
The King also issued a royal order promoting 52 National Guard officers, marking the anniversary.
