A LEADING expat association in Bahrain has announced its intention to back Bahrain’s Covid-19 vaccination campaign.
The Bahrain Keraleeya Samajam (BKS), one of the oldest Indian expat associations, aims to initiate an awareness drive amongst its more than 2,000 members and their families to get vaccinated.
“BKS has around 2,000 registered members and adding their family members, we become a very sizeable group,” said BKS president P V Radhakrishna Pillai.
“We have immediate plans to educate our members and families about the vaccine and the need to join hands with the authorities in their mission to combat the global pandemic.”
BKS secretary Varghese Karakkal said the society, which has enjoyed the generous patronage of ministries and authorities, deserves to be doing this campaign.
“It is our duty and responsibility to extend our whole hearted support towards the fight against the pandemic.
“We take it as a mission to push all our members and families to get vaccinated against the virus at the earliest,” he added.
