Bahrain’s main hospital will provide telephone or distance medical consultation for patients seeking follow-up examination in a number of outpatient clinics starting this month.
Salmaniya Medical Complex said in a statement yesterday that new cases referred by health centres requiring direct medical examination by a specialist are excluded.
Clinics include gastroenterology, dermatology, endocrinology and diabetes, rheumatology, urology, ENT, obstetrics and gynaecology, and ophthalmology.
The move aims to ensure safety and health for patients, visitors and staff at SMC in line with precautionary measures to combat the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic.
