The new-look King Fahad Causeway Mosque has reopened after undergoing BD1.2 million renovation work. Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa deputised Sunni Endowments Council chairman Dr Rashid Al Hajeri to inaugurate the mosque yesterday.
The opening ceremony was also attended by King Fahad Causeway Authority chief executive Emad Al Muhaisan and a number of other officials. He praised Bahrain and Saudi Arabia for their drive to construct mosques and care for worshippers.
Mr Muhaisan said the mosque had been expanded by 60 per cent to accommodate 630 worshippers.
