MANAMA: Eman AlBinghadeer, head of internal Sharia audit at BisB, has been ranked 35th in the WOMANi list which honours the top 150 most influential women in Islamic business and finance.
The list was published by Cambridge IFA, a financial services intelligence house.
Ms AlBinghadeer is the first female head of Sharia internal audit in Bahrain and the Gulf region. At BisB, she liaises with the members of the bank’s Sharia Advisory Board and is in charge of enhancing the audit and accounting systems, monitoringoperations from a Sharia perspective and implementing the necessary measures and actions to ensure compliance.
BisB chief human resources officer Afnan Saleh said: “We are very proud of Ms AlBinghadeer’s accomplishment, which reiterates our commitment to empowering our female workforce.”
