Doha: Customs officials arrested a man at Cairo International Airport in Egypt for stealing luxurious watches from Hamad International Airport in Doha.
The man stole over 250 Rolex watches, worth millions of Qatari Riyals, from a shop at Hamad International Airport before boarding an EgyptAir flight early Monday morning.
The airport security authorities discovered the theft at 7am, a short while before EgyptAir took off from Doha, reported local Arabic daily Al-Sharq.
The authorities coordinated with the Egyptian carrier, Cairo airport and the Interpol to arrest the man on his arrival at the Cairo International Airport.
Police also seized the stolen watches from possession.
