MANAMA: Shaikha Hind bint Salman Al Khalifa has been elected president of the Bahrain International Federation of Business and Professional Women (BPW Bahrain), and Nabeela Alkhayer, the vice-president for the fifth term (2020-2022).
The announcement follows a meeting of the association’s general assembly meeting held virtually via Zoom with a quorum of more than two-thirds of members.
The other board members elected are, Khairiya Aldashti, who has also been appointed secretary; Amaal Alhayki, the financial secretary; Zahraa Taher, the media and international relations committee head; Layla Janahi, the business and financial resources committee head; Najah Alkhuder, the activities and events committee head; Nadia Almulla, the culture and forums committee head, Jameela Attasi, the deputy secretary; Nahla Almahmood, the activities and events committee deputy head; Shohraa Al Shariff, the culture and forums committee deputy head.
Ms Al Shariff and Ms Almahmood are standby members of the board.
The meeting reviewed the financial and literary reports for 2020.
During the meeting, Ms Aldashti presented the administrative report, pointing out the leading role of BPW in Al Andalus Park and its keen endeavour in the field of business incubators and embracing the beneficiary entrepreneurs to empower them to be fully aware of their business needs and ready to enter labour market efficiently.
