Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Institute of Technology and Al Hedaya Al Khalifia Secondary School progressed to the quarter-finals of the Nasser Bin Hamad Football Tournament for Secondary Schools, both with a game to spare, defeating Bahrain School and Al Naseem International School, respectively.
Nawaf bin Saud came off the bench to record a hat-trick as Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Institute made short work of their opponents Bahrain School with a 6-1 margin at A’ali Football Club’s ground. Mohammed Al Boluchi scored a brace and Fahad Abdulhakeem rounded off the scoreline. Bahrain School’s consolation goal was scored by Lion.
Meanwhile, Al Hedaya Al Khalifia stunned Al Naseem International School by rattling their net on 11 occasions.
Rashid Khalid Yaqoob was the star of the game, which took place at Al Ittihad Club’s ground, netting five goals, and Salah Abdullah scored a hat-trick. The other goals were contributed by Isa Ali Hassan, Yusuf Hussain Abdullah and Othman Abdulwasat scoring one each.
The competition is being organised by the Education Ministry and sponsored by the National Bank of Bahrain and Bahrain Cinema Company.
