The curtain has fallen on the endurance season (2023-2024) following the qualifying international and local races organised by the Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF) at the Bahrain International Endurance Village.
During the season, BREEF has attained outstanding success, and achieved many goals, preparing a promising generation of young riders by involving them in various races.
A large number of jockeys from many stables participated in the season’s last races.
Jockey Shaikha Najla bint Salman Al Khalifa, from the Al Nasr Stable, won the 120km international race, outclassing Al Safinat stable’s jockeys Mohammed Abdulnabi and Sarhan Hameed Al Anezi, who clinched the second and third places, respectively.
Victorious Team’s jockey Isa Hamad Al Anezi won the 100km international race, while Al Fursan Team’s jockeys Hamad Helal Al Khatri and Aseel Jamad Al Sanadi came second and third, respectively.
In the 100km local race, jockey Zain Jamal Nasser, from the Al Shawamekh Stable, clinched the first place, followed by jockey Jassim Mohammed Jassim and Abdulla Yousif Al Sakran, both from the Ahmed Al Fateh Stables.
Al Eid Stable topped the 100km local race with UAE jockey Salama Salem, while Al Adiyat Stable, represented by jockeys Nasser Khalid Al Ruwaiei and Suad Mehrshad, secured the second and third places.
The Al Shawamekh Stable’s jockey Ali Ahmed Khalil won the 40km local race. Jockey Sultan Zaid Edham, from the Al Muheeb Stable, and Moroccan jockey Nasser Kaddouri from the Al Zaeem Team, finished second and third.
