THE 17th edition of Spring of Culture – featuring more than 50 performances, workshops, exhibitions, tours and film festivals – continues this week.
South Korea’s first female Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-Wha will speak on Women’s Leadership on Monday during which she will share some nuggets from her eventful and impactful life.
Ms Kyung-Wha was the first Korean woman to represent South Korea at the UN and also spearheaded the delegation for the inter-Korean summit visiting North Korean capital Pyongyang.
Venue: Shaikh Ebrahim bin Mohammed Al Khalifa Centre for Culture and Research.

In a solo exhibition opening on Tuesday, Bahraini artist Nabeela Al Khayer translates what her eyes see into distinctive visual works that reflect a vibrant, abundant feeling, through which she presents her artistic palette.
The exhibition runs until the end of the month and is open from Saturday to Thursday from 9am to 1.30pm, and 4pm to 8pm.

Every Thursday, the popular Mohammed Bin Faris Band will take listeners on a lyrical voyage telling the tales of a pearl diver’s life, from festive melodies to working songs and farewell ballads.
