How could it be that in France, which gave the world ‘Liberté, égalité, fraternité’, the French Interior Ministry recently banned protests in solidarity with Gaza which were to take place in Paris, Lyon and Marseille on the pretext of the risk of disturbing public order? IT is clear the Western leaders do not want Israel to end its apartheid occupation and are least concerned about the ongoing bombing of Palestinian civilians; on the contrary, they are fully supporting Israel.
Worse still, it would appear that the French government has decreed that making statements in favour of the uprising in Gaza is a crime .
