BAHRAIN International Circuit (BIC) continues its wide array of exciting fan activities this week with the Ebrahim K Kanoo Drag and Drift Nights and Batelco Fitness on Track, taking place on successive evenings in Sakhir.
Both events are amongst the popular public offerings at ‘The Home of Motorsport in the Middle East’.
The Ebrahim K Kanoo Drag and Drift Nights takes place this evening from 6pm to 11pm and the Batelco Fitness on Track will be held tomorrow from 6pm to 10pm.
To make a booking or for more information, visit www.bahraingp.com or call +973-17450000.
The Drag and Drift Nights gives speed enthusiasts the opportunity to take their own cars or motorbikes and push them to their limits down the world-class quarter-mile drag strip, or put on a display of power sliding along the vehicle dynamics area.
Registration can be done on site from 5pm. Those who would like to experience the drag or drift as a passenger can get into a participant’s car for BD4.500.
The BIC strip is regarded as one of the best in the world of drag racing. It is a part of the Worldwide Network, under the banner of the US-based National Hot Rod Association (NHRA).
The vehicle dynamics area, meanwhile, features a specially configured layout for drifters. It is surrounded by safety barriers, and is one of the largest open tarmac areas in Bahrain, making for an ideal venue for drifting enthusiasts to showcase their skills within a secure environment.
In addition to the drag and drift, also available tonight is the Dragster Experience. Fans will have a chance to get a taste of speed as they are taken from zero to 100kph while seated in a Top Dragster.
Spectators can purchase their tickets online at bahraingp.com for BD2 apiece, while children aged 12 and below are BD1 each.
Meanwhile, the Batelco Fitness on Track offers a fun, physical experience, and is an ideal opportunity for the whole family to exercise either on foot or on a bicycle.
Today’s event will be held under state-of-the-art floodlights. Runners and walkers will be utilising BIC’s 2.550km Inner Track, while cyclists ride along the 3.543km Outer Circuit, with another dedicated area for children’s cycling.
The cost to take part is BD2 for cyclists and BD1 for runners. Those under the age of 12 can participate for free if accompanied by a paying adult.
The BIC’s Season Pass, launched in 2023/2024, is also available. At BD15, it grants access to all Batelco Fitness on Track events throughout the season.
