Parliament yesterday approved a proposal to introduce corporate zakat – Islamic alms giving.
Only two MPs rejected the move, Parliament Speaker Ahmed Al Musallam and legislative and legal affairs committee vice-chairman Mahmood Fardan, who felt that corporations owned by non-Muslims could not be forced to implement it .
