Equestrian – THE curtain fell on the Bahrain Local Production Championship, held under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad’s representative for humanitarian work and youth affairs and Supreme Council for Youth and Sport (SCYS) chairman Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, in the presence of Supreme Council for Environment vice chairman, Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club vice chairman and SCYS member Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa, and Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (Breef) president Shaikh Isa bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, including the first round of the Emirates World Cup for Arabian Horses in the Middle East, organised by Breef at the Military Sports Federation Arena at the Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club in Al Raffa, Sakhir.
The closing ceremony was attended by the Information Affairs Minister Dr Ramzan Al Nuaimi, Emirates Arabian Horse Association director general Mohammed Ahmed Al Harbi among others.
Shaikh Faisal presented trophies to the winners of the events on the final day.
Results:
One-year-old fillies championship: 1. Majara NS for owner Stud Al Naseem, 2. H.A. Samana for owner Habib Abbas Ibrahim, 3. HM Dina for owner Mohammed Ahmed Al Hayki.
Two- to three-year-old fillies championship: 1. TFK Hala for TFK Stud, 2. Firdaus Al Nawader for owner Al Nawader Arabian Horse, 3. Lamar AJ for owner Abdullah Nasser Al Nuaimi.
Mares aged 4 years and above championship: 1. Aura Al-Jazla for owner Eurasian Stud, 2. TFK Ghalia for owner TFK Stud, 3. BS Nawara for owner Mohammed Ahmed Al-Hayki.
One-year-old foal championship: 1. SR Khalid for owner SR Stud, 2. Buraq Al Tarifi for owner Hussain Abdullah Abdulnabi, 3. Mahboob Al Nawader for owner Al Nawader Stud for Arabian Horses.
Two- to three-year-old foal championship: 1. Bader Al-Nawader for owner Al-Nawader Stud for Arabian Horses, 2. Muharib Al Muhanna for owner Al Muhanna Stud, 3. Raheb Al-Shehab for owner Maryam Ibrahim Mohammed.
Stallions aged 4 years and above Championship: 1. AMS Shaheen for owner Al Mudahka Stud, 2. Farid Al Layal for owner Al Raheel Stud for Arabian Horses, 3. Al Barous Al Shaqab for owner Zuhair Mohammed Huwailo.
