Paris: Slovenian ski resort Kranjska Gora will host the men's giant slalom World Cup race on Friday, March 4, which replaces the cancelled event at Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany last month, the International Ski Federation (FIS) announced on Friday.
Kranjska Gora will already host a giant slalom and slalom on March 5 and 6.
The giant slalom specialists have not competed since Alta Badia, Italy on December 20 which was won by overall World Cup leader Marcel Hirscher of Austria.
The event at Adelboden in Switzerland was cancelled on January 9, also because of weather conditions, and was rescheduled for February 26 in the Austrian resort of Hintersdoter, which is also hosting a Super G and giant slalom on February 27 and 28.
