THE ongoing Bahrain Keraleeya Samajam (BKS) Indo-Bahrain Dance and Music Festival continues until Saturday.
The extravaganza, which has been organised under the patronage of the Indian Embassy with support from the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (Baca) and curated and directed by Soorya Krishnamoorty, will feature a classical instrumental performance tonight at 8.15pm at the society’s auditorium in Segaiya.
The evening will feature Mysore Nagaraj and Dr Mysore Manjunath on the violin accompanied by Thiruvaroor Bahakthavalsalam on mridangam, Alappuzha R Karunamoorthy on tavil and Giridhar Udupa on ghatam.
Tomorrow, Veena (one of the oldest Indian string instruments) exponent Rajhesh Vaidhya and his team Bhuvanesh, Kumaran, Mohan and Sai Hari will perform at 7.45pm.
The festival’s grand finale will be held on Saturday with a performance by world-renowned Sarod trio Ustad Amjad Ali Khan and his sons Aman Ali Bangash and Ayaan Ali Bangash, at 7.45pm.
