BAHRAIN’S Royal Endurance Team will be taking part in an endurance race in France, to be held today and tomorrow.
The team is captained by Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, who is His Majesty the King’s Charity and Youth Affairs Representative, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee President.
Shaikh Nasser stressed that the event will be a good challenge for the Royal Endurance Team and it will help them prepare for other races in Europe this season. Shaikh Nasser said that he is confident about the team achieving positive results in France, and that the riders are looking forward to competing in the event.
The main ride will be over a distance of 160 kilometres. There will also be another race of 90km distance.
Among those set to represent the Royal Endurance Team in either race are Mohammed Al Khatri, Fahad Al Khatri, Mohammed Saif, Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, Hussain Mashallah, Rashid Al Ruwaie, Ali Busfer, Isa Buhazza, Yacoob Hammadi and Yousef Al Jubouri.
The medical examinations for the participating horses were held yesterday in preparation for today’s events.
