TWO fun workshops have been lined up for people interested in craft and the art of perfumery.
A Perfume-Making Workshop will teach learners how to create their own Al-Atoor, which is a mixture of fragrant essential oils or aroma compounds (fragrances), fixatives and solvents, usually in liquid form.
Workshop topics include the history of perfumes, tools involved in their creation, types of alcohol used, combination of scents to create perfumes and, finally, effective ways of storing them.
The event will be held from 5pm to 7pm from Sunday to Tuesday.
An Introduction to Crochet Workshop will highlight the different types of crochet, hooks and yarn, basic crochet stitched, their names and symbols.
Also known as knitting, the versatile technique is also used to produce vests, sweaters, mittens and hats, scarves as well as a myriad of adorable items for babies.
The event will be held from Sunday to Wednesday next week from 4pm to 6pm each day.
Both events are being organised by the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities and registration is required at culture.gov.bh.
