The travel and tourism markets have witnessed a 30 per cent increase in airline ticket prices due to the rise in oil prices, in addition to high demand for travel bookings during the Eid Al Fitr holiday, as it coincides with the end of exams and approaching summer vacation.
“There is a noticeable high demand for travel during Eid Al Fitr, and this year, we arranged trips to Albania, Kosovo and Montenegro, and organised trips to the British countryside scheduled on a weekly basis starting from June 22,” owner of Al Raya Travel and Tourism Office Ammar Al Kankouni told our sister paper Akhbar Al Khaleej .
