Dawn Monroe, the owner of Sis Sweets Cookies & Café in Kansas, the US is asking her customers to eat their cookies carefully, after losing her diamond ring, valued at $4,000.
After a day of baking, Monroe removed her gloves and noticed her ring was missing.
Subsequently, she traced down her daily routine, stating to KMBC-TV: “We kind of went back to the kitchen and looked around,” to which she believes the diamond must have gone missing at some point whilst mixing the dough.
Monroe stated that the ring had been on her finger for 36 years, and is offering a reward of ‘free cookies’ for the individual that may take a bite into the costly cookie.
Additionally, Monroe wrote on the business’ Facebook page “if you happened (to) find it, I would forever be in debt if you would return it.’’
There has been an enormous increase of customers at the bakery since the announcement, as people are eagerly buying cookies and participating in the ‘treasure hunt.’
