Kuwait Finance House (KFH) took the lead in the Championship flight (team handicap six or under) of the American Mission Hospital (AMH) Island Classic Charity Golf Tournament at His Majesty King Hamad’s private golf course at Saffriya Palace.
Bahrain Confidential and Al Hawaj 2 were in second and third places respectively.
In the Premier Flight (team handicap 6.1 or over), DHL 1 topped the standings followed by AMH Riffa in second place and Xerox 2 in third spot.
Among individual award winners, Stanley Kwik was ‘closest to the pin’ on hole six. Rob Addison’s was the ‘most accurate drive’ on hole eight while Rashid Al Qutami’s was the ‘longest putt’ on hole four.
Nathan Prince won the ‘closest to the pin’ on hole six during the evening flights with Andy Love claiming the ‘most accurate drive’ on hole eight and Mubarak Saad clinching the ‘longest putt’ on hole four.
The participating teams include Swiss Food Specialties, African and Eastern, Y.K. Almoayyed, Bahrain Confidential, Xerox 1, Xerox 2, AMH Saar, DHL 1, AMH Riffa, Al Hawaj 1 and Al Hawaj 2.
Ministry of Interior 1, Ministry of Interior 2 and KFH took part as independents.
