A Saudi female teacher who conned her colleagues and friends out of SR6 million in six months was sentenced to six years in prison.
The fraudulent teacher cheated around 30 teachers and friends by making them believe that they would get good returns on their savings which would be invested in a company based abroad.
The convict sought to win her victims' confidence by claiming that she won SR1.8 million as returns on her own investments and showing them receipts of the same.
Having done so, she managed to get them to give her their bank account numbers and copies of their ID cards.
Upon interrogation, the teacher confessed to embezzling the money from her colleagues and friends and misleading the bank regarding the source of the deposited funds.
