Many GCC countries have started issuing passports for falcons and other domestic animals. However, the Saudi Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources said that it will not follow suit. Saudi authorities instead issued property certificates for 105,000 camels in Al-Qasim and Eastern provinces.
“Issuing passports for domestic animals is a familiar procedure in many countries in the world but there is no such plan in Saudi Arabia”, said Livestock director-general Dr. Ibrahim Qassim.
