Washington: China's top diplomat Yang Jiechi met U.S. President Donald Trump and held talks with his senior advisers at the White House on Monday, the White House said.
Yang led a six-person delegation that held talks with Trump's national security adviser H.R. McMaster, Trump's adviser and son-in-law Jared Kushner and other officials, White House spokesman Sean Spicer told a daily news briefing.
After the meeting, Yang "had an opportunity to say hi to the president," Spicer added.
