MANGALORE Boyz, Smashers, Bahrain Billawas and Jai Karnataka qualified for the quarter-finals of the Indian Expats Seven-a-side Softball Cricket Tournament at the Indian Club.
Mangalore Boyz beat BMMI, Smashers outplayed Kudla Strikers, Bahrain Billawas edged out Chakde Stars and Jai Karnataka routed Supernet Cargo.
Prasad was the hero for Bahrain Billawas through his brilliant fielding which saved at least 20 runs and restricted Chakde Stars to 32 for three with captain Vishwas (12) the top scorer.
In reply, Billawas needed nine runs of the last over. Yatheesh did the needful hitting a six of the fifth ball to lead his team to victory. Prasad (6) and Sandeep (5) were the other contributors.
