DAR Kulaib claimed the volley tournament gold medal in the Fourth Schools Mini Olympics.
Dar Kulaib beat Al Nasser ‘B’ and Al Nasser ‘A’, who settled for the silver and bronze medals, respectively.
Bahrain Volleyball Association president Shaikh Ali bin Mohammed Al Khalifa and his son Shaikh Mohammed bin Ali Al Khalifa honoured the top three teams at the prize-presentation ceremony.
The Mini Olympics are being organised by Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) in cooperation with the Ministry of Education.
The event began on Friday with the 3-on-3 basketball tournament followed by the cricket competition yesterday.
The official opening ceremony of the Mini Olympics will take place today at 11am at Isa Town Sports City’s Bahrain Volleyball Association gym in Riffa.

Today’s ceremony will be held under the patronage of His Majesty’s Representative for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee president Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
More than 2,000 students from government and private schools are taking part in this two-week event involving 14 disciplines - football, 3-on-3 basketball, volleyball, handball, table tennis, athletics, cricket, hockey, swimming, water sports, gymnastics, taekwondo, jiu jitsu and karting.
