BAHRAIN has ramped up the scrutiny of Brazilian food imports in the wake of a rotten meat scandal, which has prompted some states to ban products from the South American country.
Shipments of meat and poultry from Brazil are still being accepted here, but only after a thorough inspection, Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Ministry’s Agriculture and Marine Department consultant Dr Mohammed Fouda told the GDN .
