Riyadh: The Saudi Food and Drugs Authority (SFDA) has suspended imports of Brazilian meat and poultry due to the worldwide scandal which broke out a few days ago, reported Al Marsd.
It issued a statement urging consumers to get rid of their stocks of meat and poultry imported from four Brazilian factories as a preventive measure to ensure their safety and enforce the GCC standards.
The Brazilian authorities have so far arrested 33 government officials and shut down three major factories.
