BAHRAIN International Circuit (BIC), “The Home of Motorsport in the Middle East”, will be holding back-to-back evenings of exciting track action today and tomorrow in Sakhir.
Today, the hugely popular Open Track Night will be welcoming motoring enthusiasts to drive their very own road cars or bikes down BIC’s world-renowned 5.412km Grand Prix Track.
Tomorrow, a series of Ultimate Track Experiences will be on offer to the public. Action will take place on the 2.55km Inner Track.
Today’s events will be held under BIC’s state-of-the-art floodlighting system from 4om to 11pm.
In Open Track Night, people can drive for a whole night at BD105 or a drive for just half a night at BD75. A single 30-minute session can also be enjoyed for BD40.
Friends or family members who would like to accompany a participant as a passenger in their car may do so at an extra fee of BD12.
Meanwhile, a pair of passenger rides are sure to give motorsport fans an exceptional new thrill. The Clio Cup Passenger ride gives clients a look into the racing capabilities of one of the world’s most popular sports cars.
This Renault-manufactured mean machine features a 1.6-litre Turbocharged engine. It can generate up to 220bhp and 6,000rpm, and it has a paddle shift racing gearbox and an FIA-specification roll cage and seats.
The passenger ride comprises a single three-lap session of around 40 minutes, and it can be enjoyed for BD25.
The Radical SR3 Passenger Ride will be conducted alongside one of BIC’s expert driving instructors. A Radical SR3 boasts an RPE-Suzuki Generation 1,340 DOHC engine. It can go from zero to 100kmh in 3.4 seconds, and also has a six-speed sequential gearbox and paddle gearshift system. The SR3 passenger ride costs BD35 for a three-lap session of around 40 minutes.
Following today’s Open Track, the action continues tomorrow from8am to 4pm with three activities from the Ultimate Track Experience.
These are a drive in a Clio Cup sports car, a drive in a Radical SR1 prototype, and a passenger ride in an ultra-quick Radical SR3 prototype.
The Clio Cup drive can be purchased for BD120. It includes a pair of six-lap sessions and the entire experience lasts roughly two-and-a-half hours.
Meanwhile, the Radical SR1 drive includes two five-lap sessions that could last up to around two-and-a-half hours at the cost of BD140. Completing the Clio Cup drive is required before taking part in the SR1 experience.
The Radical SR3 passenger ride will be conducted alongside one of BIC’s expert driving instructors. It will be D35 for a three-lap session of around 40 minutes.
