Bahrain added three more medals yesterday to raise their tally to 18 at the end of day three of the 25th GCC Swimming Championship in Doha.
Bahrain now have three gold, seven silver and eight bronze medals.
Bahrain’s first medal yesterday came through Abdulla Isa Ahmed who finished third in the 200m for mixed category (13 and 14 years) which was won by Qatar’s Mohammed Hisham. UAE’s Amer Al Belooshi finished second.
Bahrain’s second medal of the day came through Omar Abdulla Omar in the 200m mixed category (11 and 12 years) which was won by Qatar’s Mohammed Mahmood and followed by his teammate Hassan Al Baqshi.
Bahrain’s third and last medal of the day was a silver won by Abdulrahman Mubarak Mohammed in the 100m butterfly (13 and 14 years) which was won by Qatar’s Yagoob Al Khulaifi, followed by UAE’s Ali Juma’a.

Late on Wednesday, Bahrain won a silver medal through Farhan Saleh Faraj in the 200m freestyle which was won by Oman’s Abdulla Al Adwi while Ibrahim Al Huwaish of Saudi Arabia was third
Bahrain also won a bronze in the 4x50m freestyle for 10-year-olds. Qatar won gold and Saudi Arabia silver.
