An Indian petrol station attendant lost his life over a meagre SR20 bill in a scuffle with an unidentified customer who refused to pay his bill.
37-year-old Khaja Moinuddin, who was employed at the petrol station in Kilo 5, was pushed and shoved by a customer when he asked for money after filling up the man's car with fuel.
Moinuddin not only insisted on payment but also attempted to prevent the customer when he tried to flee the station without paying his dues.
The man then knocked Moinuddin over with his car door and fled the scene. As a result, the attendant suffered serious head injuries and was immediately rushed to a leading public hospital where he battled for his life for three days but eventually succumbed to his injuries on Sunday.
The deceased, a father of three young children, was from a very poor family and had come to Saudi seeking employment.
