Al Junoob Youth Centre registered the most lopsided win in the Fifth Khalid bin Hamad Futsal League for Youth Centres, People with Disabilities and Girls (Khalid 5) after beating Al Jasrah Youth Centre 17-0 at Khalifa Sports City Hall.
Al Junoob attacker Mohammed Salman fired eight goals, while the remaining goals were scored by four of his teammates.
In other matches, Zallaq and Arad Youth Centres played to a 5-5 draw, Hamad Town Youth Centre and Al Maameer Club also settled for a 2-2 draw, and Buquwa Youth Centre beat Hamala Youth Centre 4-1.
Five matches are scheduled for today. Al Qurayya face Al Naeem Youth Centres, East Riffa take on Karbabad Youth Centres, Bani Jamrah Club go up against Salmabad Youth Centre, and Dar Kulaib Club meet Zayid Town Youth Centre.
The postponed fifth-group match of Shakhoor against Sanad will be held at 9pm.
The organising committee honoured Al Junoob’s Mohammed Salman, Arad’s Saeed Aoun, Al Maameer’s goalkeeper Mahmood Abdulla and Buquwa’s Mohammed Sadiq as the best four players of the day.
Shaikh Khalid expressed his appreciation to Adhari Park for offering its support and sponsorship to the Khalid 5.

Meanwhile, Southern Area Municipal Council chairman Ahmed Al-Ansari, Southern Area Municipal Council member Bader Al-Tamimi and Bahrain Olympic Academy director Nabeel Taha visited Khalifa Sports City Hall to watch the matches.
The officials hailed the efforts and initiatives of Shaikh Khalid in organising the tournament every year describing it as a great opportunity to develop the youth and sports movement in Bahrain.
