A three-member gang dealing in counterfeit currency has been unearthed in Kuwait, according to Alqabas newspaper.
The Criminal Investigation General Directorate arrested a Kuwait citizen and two Arab expatriates and seized KD50,000 and $1 million in fake money.
The police also confiscated a special printing machine used in forging the Kuwaiti and US currencies in the denominations of KD20 and $100 notes.
“The Hawali investigation officers received information which led to the arrest of the counterfeiters, who were referred to the Public Prosecution,” said the Interior Ministry.
