Sanad Youth Centre will face Muharraq Youth Centre in the final of the youth centres and unregistered clubs tournament, which is part of the Khalid bin Hamad Futsal League for Youth Centres, People with Disabilities and Girls.
The finals of the three tournaments will be held on Sunday.
Sanad entered the final after defeating Buquwa Youth Centre 5-3 in the semi-final while Muharraq held off Jidhafs Youth Centre 6-4 in one of the most exciting matches of the league.
Sanad’s Raed Baba won the best player award for his exceptional performance against Buquwa and Muharraq’s Ali Abdul-Rasool was honoured for scoring three goals against Jidhafs.
The matches to determine the third and fourth places of the three tournaments will be held today at the venue of the league, Khalifa Sports City Hall in Isa Town.
In the girls’ tournament, Team Giving will face Team Hope at 5.30pm while in the people with disabilities tournament, Deaf Team and Bahrain Deaf Society Team will clash at 6.15pm. Buquwa will take on Jidhafs at 7pm for the third place in the youth centres and unregistered clubs tournament.
House of Representatives member Abdul Hameed Al Najjar and Public Security Sports Federation president, Bahrain Olympic Committee board member and Bahrain Mixed Martial Arts Federation president Colonel Khalid Abdul Aziz Al Khayat attended the semifinals of the youth centres and unregistered clubs tournament.
The officials were received by members of the organising committee and later they met the participating teams, referees and coaches. They visited the photo exhibition organised on the sidelines of the league and praised the efforts of the organisers.
The league is being held for the fifth year under the patronage of Supreme Council for Youth and Sports first deputy chairman and Bahrain Sports Federation for Disabilities honorary president Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al-Khalifa. It is jointly organised by the Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs and the Media Office of Shaikh Khalid under the slogan #Generations_Meeting.
