A NUMBER of inspiring events will be held at La Fontaine Centre of Contemporary Art this month.
The first event, on Tuesday, is a Spanish movie night accompanied by dinner.
Directed by legendary Spanish filmmaker Carlos Saura, Flamenco Flamenco is an evolutionary musical through the light, song and dance of a dynamic art form.
Next weekend, the centre will host an art exhibition by Simeen Farhat called The Breath of Poetry.
Ms Farhat said in a Press release that the words she incorporates to create her sculptures are like the wings that enable her to express a sense of liberation.
“Like birds, my sculptures, too, move in space or perch somewhere.
“Eloquent words in many languages, by Eastern and Western poets, writers and philosophers, or my own written inspirations.”
The exhibition opens on October 19 from 6pm and will be followed by dinner and a performance at 8pm by a jazz trio, featuring saxophonist Franky, Ronald on keyboard and Jason on guitar.
Concluding the month’s events is Yang Flow and Yin Restore on October 20.
Taking place from 10am to 5pm, the ladies only yoga retreat features teachers Ditta and Trine who will showcase their unique and contemporary styles.
