A Kindegarten student spent four hours inside his school bus which was locked, according to Akhbaar24.
The boy was left alone from 6am to 10am as the driver locked the bus without checking to ensure no one was inside.
A Saudi citizen who noticed the distressed child used a hammer to smash the window pane and rescued him as all attempts to reach the driver failed.
A video recording posted on social medial showed people pulling out the boy, who looked exhausted and in tears.
The incident sparked outrage among twitter users who called on the authorities to hold the director and driver of the kindergarten accountable.
They recalled the tragic death of 9-year-old Nawaf Al Salmi who suffocated to death a year and a half ago in Jeddah after spending six hours locked inside school bus.
