The Indian Institute for Performing Arts (IIPA) is a professional institution spreading knowledge about Indian arts and culture.
Operating in Bahrain since January 2003, it has been consistently providing high-quality music and arts education.
It is mainly envisaged as an institution to keep up the glow of Indian tradition of music and arts among the younger generation through systematic lessons and courses.
In its pursuit, the institute has hosted numerous concerts by eminent and great maestros for the benefit of students and music lovers in the country.
The first of this series started in 2005 with a concert featuring classical, devotional and film singer Dr K J Yesudas.
This was followed by classical music shows by Carnatic vocalist, musician, multi-instrumentalist, playback singer, composer and character actor Dr M Balamuralikrishna, and singer, composer and music producer Pandit Ramesh Narayan.
In 2017, IIPA organised a ghazal performance, Watan Se, by Pankaj Udhas, the velvet voice of India. The organisation is always at the forefront of honouring personalities who do this for the benefit of the society to which they belong.
This year in association with Choice Advertising, IIPA has organised a performance by great ghazal maestro Ustad Ghulam Ali.
The event, Chupke Chupke, will be held at the Bahrain Conference Centre at Crowne Plaza Bahrain on Friday, where audiences will be taken to a different level of musical experience and will be followed by dinner.
Guests can look forward to a scintillating ghazal performance at this high-profile event.
Ustad Ghulam Ali will be accompanied by Javed Hussain on keyboard, Arshad Khan on israj (an Indian stringed instru
ment), Parvez Hussain on tabla, Iqbal Mohammed on guitar and Badshah Hassan on flute.
To realise a dream of dynamic dimensions, IIPA needs the support of sponsors.
In return it offers the widest publicity for all sponsors with exceptional media and event coverage including multi-media and souvenir advertisements.
Zayani Motors is presenting Chupke Chupke and the title sponsor is Sharaf DG with the event brought to you by National Fire and Safety Company.
Other major sponsors include the UAE Exchange, Al Namal Group, Broden Contracting, Mobitel, Dar Al Shifa Hospital, LIC International, Everest Trading, Airwave Electricals, besides others.
Tickets will be available at the IIPA office in Segaiya, Sharaf DG and from the online ticketing partner WafiApp.
Five categories of tickets are available with prices starting from BD15 for a silver pass with dinner. Gold passes are priced at BD25, platinum passes are BD50 and an elite pass is BD100 all of which include entry and dinner for one person.
