The fourth Global Business Forum on Africa will kick off tomorrow (November 1) in Dubai, UAE under the patronage of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, Ruler of Dubai.
Launched by the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the two-day forum will be held at Madinat Jumeirah.
The forum is one of the most important global events focusing on Africa and highlighting the trade and investment opportunities in the continent. The event presents an ideal platform bringing together leaders, senior officials, decision-makers, investors and businessmen from around the world to take advantage of the opportunities available across all major sectors in Africa.
Bearing the theme “Next Generation Africa”, the 2017 edition of the event looks into the role of young entrepreneurs in stimulating economic growth, enhancing investment opportunities and building trade ties with the region and the world.
Experts and officials will additionally discuss the role of technology in catalysing growth in Africa, weigh out potential partnerships with major African companies, and explore incentives for governments to remove all obstacles limiting the flow of foreign direct investment to the continent.
This year’s forum stands out for the notable participation of African heads of state, ministers, a host of senior officials and as many as 1,000 experts and decision-makers. The high-profile attendees will discuss Africa’s prospects for economic growth, as well as the development of trade and investment relations between the continent, the UAE and the wider region.
