The Abu Dhabi government has approved infrastructure development projects worth more than Dh350 million ($95.2 million) including road works, storm water drainage network and parking facilities in the UAE capital.
The projects were okayed by the executive committee of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council in line with Abu Dhabi Plan to achieve a secure and confident society that aims at developing a competitive, sustainable and globally open economy, reported state news agency Wam.
The committee has allocated Dh120 million for road works and parking facilities in Al Ain, Dh100 million for sewer connections in Abu Dhabi, Dh39.6 million for storm water drainage network in the mainland island and Dh67.7 million for management, operation and maintenance of the beaches in the emirate, it added.
