His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, deputised Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee, to attend the general ceremony at the conclusion of Ironman 70.3 Middle East Championship hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Present during the ceremony was Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, and President of Bahrain Athletics Association.
Shaikh Khalid congratulated Shaikh Nasser on his historic achievement.
“We are proud of this unprecedented and honorable result achieved by His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa in the race, which is an added achievement to the records of His Highness in various sport competitions at the continental and international championships level,” Shaikh Khalid said.
“It is also an added achievement to the Kingdom of Bahrain in strengthening the prestigious position held by the Kingdom in sports in general and this one in particular.”
