Kuwait City: Eight Kuwaiti huntsmen who were caught in the Iraqi territories were released, it was announced.
The security authorities had arrested them in the countryside of Al-Samawa, capital of Al-Muthana governorate in Southern Iraq.
The Kuwaiti embassy in Baghdad followed up their case until they were released and allowed to return home.
Iraqi sources said that the Iraqi security forces arrested them to ensure their safety as they entered in unstable territories which may pose a danger to their lives.
Al-Muthana Governor Faleh Al-Zeyadi had issued instruction to the army and security forces to arrest all Arab huntsmen for violating a federal ban on hunting in Iraqi territories.
