The traffic authorities in the Eastern province will crackdown on reckless drivers endangering road safety.
Lawbreakers caught drifting will be forced to work as part-timers at hospitals to attend to patients.
Each drifter will feed patients, help them with their needs and submit a report on two patients daily at least.
Under a programme called “Traffic Safety and Compulsory Social Service”, reckless drivers caught drifting will undergo training under the supervision of nurses before working at hospitals on a three-hour part-time shift daily.
