The body of a Filipina who died in suspicious circumstances in Kuwait was flown back to her country, Al Rai reported.
The 29-year-old woman was identified a few days ago as Joanna Daniela Demafelis.
Her body was discovered inside a freezer in a flat rented by a Lebanese man, who left the country, along with his Syrian wife in early December 2016.
The landlord of the building had won a court verdict to evict the couple from the flat for non-payment of a year's rent.
It is feared the body went unnoticed inside the freezer for up to 16 months, ever since the couple fled the country, fearing a travel ban over financial cases.
The Kuwaiti authorities said that they could seek an international red notice to help track them down and bring them back to face justice.
The fugitive husband and wife who rented the flat in Hawali's Al Shaab district, have been identified as Nader Assaf (40) and Mona Hassoun (37). They are reportedly living in Syria.
