Cairo: Former Egyptian TV host Riham Saeed has been remanded at Al-Qanatir women’s prison pending trial.
The East Cairo Attorney General Ibrahim Saleh charged her with incitement on kidnapping children and human trafficking.
Seven other TV employees working with her on the same TV show will also appear before the Criminal Court.
Riham is accused of inciting the other suspects working with her of kidnapping children for her TV programme.
An Egyptian court had previously sentenced her in another case to a year and six months in prison for trying to shame a sexual harassment victim on her show.
Saeed had then sparked a backlash when she suggested the victim had asked for the abuse, and aired private pictures of her on a beach.
