WASHINGTON: The Trump administration is postponing until September a summit with Gulf leaders that had been planned for this spring, according to US officials.
The decision reflects a crowded diplomatic calendar that includes a summit with North Korea, they said.
President Trump also spoke with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and discussed the threat posed by Iran.
He also stressed the importance of resolving the Gulf crisis during his talks with the Amir of Qatar, Shaikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.
