The curtain will fall today on the Joint Gulf Shield 1 drill, which started a month ago in Saudi Arabia's Eastern Province, according to Sabq.
Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud will patronise the final ceremony, in the presence of leaders of nations taking part in the massive exercise.
The armies of 24 countries joined Saudi Arabia in the military drill, in addition to Saudi troops from all military sectors.
The drills aimed to ensure effective co-ordination between multi-national units from the 24 countries to maintain peace and security against modern adversaries.
The military manoeuvres included live ammunition, clearing a chemical attack facility, striking air force missile pads, naval vessel operations, coastal defence, clearing villages.
The exercise aimed also to showcase the kingdom’s capability of planning and executing military actions and operating modern weapon systems.
