A proposal to levy fees on expatriate workers’ remittances will be on the agenda of the Shura Council on September 12, according to Al Riyadh.
The session will hear the report of the Financial Committee on the viability of the proposal which was submitted by former Shura Council member and current Public Audit Court chairman Hosam Al Angari.
The proposal, which includes 12 articles, aims at encouraging expatriate workers to spend and invest their savings in Saudi Arabia.
