Back to school for 604,767 students in Oman

Muscat - Public schools today reopen, welcoming 604,767 students, up by 16,428 compared with the last academic year. 

The Ministry of Education released the new school year statistics, which include 304,050 boys and 300,717 girls, enrolled are 1,159 schools across the country. 

The number of basic education schools has reached 1,032. 

The number of schools from grades 10 to 12 is 107, which is eight more than last year, while the number of schools for grades 11 and 12 is 20, which is six less than the previous year. 

This year, the number of teachers reached has reached 56,091, in addition to 10,868 administrators and technicians.
