MAHMOOD Abdulqader won the Grand Prix title in the Bahrain Equestrian and Showjumping Federation (BREEF) Showjumping Championship.
He had a flawless run, posting a time of 52.72 seconds on his horse Alteka Du Fort BDF.
He was followed by veteran Sami Ghazwan, who bettered the winner’s time (39.39s) but committed four faults on Miss Hebba.
The final podium spot was claimed by Yehya Ahmed who clocked 52.14 seconds with eight faults.
The podium finishers were crowned by Shaikh Khalid bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, president of Showjumping Committee at Breef and his deputy Shaikh Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Khalifa and owner of Horse Pride Company Huda Janahi. Mustafa Dadulla won the juniors’ qualification round for ‘differentiation stage’. The event featured 80-90cm obstacles.
Ali Al Alawi won the second competition for juniors while Hussain Ferdousi triumphed in the first seniors’ contest.
Dr Eyad Fareed Ahmed won the second seniors’ competition.
