KHK Boxing has announced nationwide plans to form a national team.
The concept was launched under the initiative of Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, first deputy president of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport and founder of Brave Combat Federation.
A scouting programme will be held across the Kingdom of Bahrain from December 15 to identify talented athletes who will form the national team before the end of January next year. The program focuses on boxing gyms across the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The concept encourages the youth of Bahrain to participate in sports and to compete representing the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Shaikh Khalid has inspired Bahraini athletes to compete and has developed a fully functional facility at KHK MMA to train combat sports athletes under legendary coaches from around the world.
Inspired by the vision of Shaikh Khalid, this initiative will be launched following the massive global success of Brave Combat Federation. KHK Boxing will also provide the platform for Bahraini and international athletes to showcase their talent globally.
“KHK Boxing is an ambitious project under the leadership of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa to expand the global footprint of the sports initiatives from the Kingdom of Bahrain,” said Brave Combat Federation president and KHK Boxing CEO Mohammed Shahid.
“The initiative will benefit Bahraini athletes and will transform the sport of boxing in Bahrain. It will nurture growing talent, particularly Bahraini athletes.”
